Reviews of Episode 9 -

STAR WARS: The Rise Of Skywalker

Review of Episode 9: [5/5 Stars]
This movie was the end of an era, a film series I've been watching since my youth. But what a bang of a finale, seeing all my favourite characters from the original trilogy and even the prequels make magnificent cameos. We got to see Rey and Finn have more interaction, not to mention a long awaited smooch between Rey and Kylo. There were more whacky and hilarious side characters. Not to mention the hint for a possible of a spin-off Lando movie (about time). So many plot holes were filled up and finally answered like: Rey's family, Po's past and The First Orders Origins.  The film was a rollercoaster of emotions and ended on a bitter sweet note, I don't think it could've ended any differently and gotten the same result. In addition, it paid one of cinemas most loving respects to one of the iconic female characters, giving Leia a send-off fitting her peaceful nature. An excellent piece of cinema. I loved it!

Review of Episode 9: [1/5 Stars]
The end of a space saga, after decades of entertainment sadly comes to an inevitable end, and what a waste of an end it was. What happened? The whole movie was a tangled mess full of ridiculous plot holes and failed attempts at both humour and character development that should have been built in past films. The entire plot and goal left me with more questions leaving the cinema rather than the feeling  of satisfaction knowing that this was the end. The newest sequels have no magic or flare, especially in regard to Ridley's bland performance. How did Palpatine survive? Who cares. Hasn't his return completely mocked VADER'S sacrifice for redemption? Who cares. The biggest fault of the sequels has been its desire to fuel off of nostalgia rather than brave innovative story telling. Not worth it! Keylo Ren said it best, "Let the past die." This film was destined to fail from the start of Episode 7.
